Dean candidates to speak at forums
UTSA faculty, staff and students are invited to attend open forums beginning next week featuring finalist candidates for the position of founding dean of the College of AI, Cyber and Computing. During the forums, candidates will give an overview of their qualifications and discuss their vision, followed by a Q&A session and meet and greet.
Reporting to the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, the dean will serve as the chief operating and academic officer for the College of AI, Cyber and Computing with responsibility for solidifying and implementing a unifying vision, mission and goals for the college. In leading the college during this period of institutional growth and transition, the founding dean will play a critical role in effectively aligning the departments and centers that now comprise the College of AI, Cyber and Computing, articulating and implementing a strategic plan, and guiding the college community through the process of creating a refined identity and brand, increasing its academic culture of excellence, and strengthening external partnerships to advance research, scholarship/creative activity and community impact.
All forums will be held in person and via Zoom. Information about the individual candidates will be available online 24 hours prior to each campus forum. UTSA authentication is required to view all candidate information.
